AC Joshi Library has an enormous collection of approximately
7.4 lakh volumes and serves more than 12,000 members. The library is fully computerized
with RIFD technology and has always been striving to serve its users for
24x7x365 to the best and to that end it is has started SMS alert service.
SMS notifications will be sent to the users regarding each transaction
like registration, membership renewal, issue, return, overdue reminder
and reservation alert. The University Librarian, Dr. Raj Kumar stated that
the Library users will be kept updated about any transaction that takes
place in their account and the Library services will thus become more
efficient.
